I love a loafer roundup. Loafers are one of my favorite shoes to wear. I own the Elba and a pair of Jamie Haller’s loafers so if anyone has any questions — I’d be happy to answer them.

Also would like to add that loafers are one place I will splurge because I’ve had loafers for 15+ years that are still going strong.

Agreed! Loafers are my go to most of the time and they are so comfortable.

Thanks for this offer!! I’m glad you did since I know Halley’s sizing is quite weird.

I second the splurge on loafer! Loafers are a perennial classic so it’s worth having a great pair.

I am curious about the Jamie Haller loafer sizing- looking to get a pair when they get restocked. I am generally a 39 but have a skinny heel/ankle and wide forefoot so slip on shoes are sometimes a hard fit.

I have a narrow foot and I typically have to size down in some European/European made shoes. I am a US 9 and I when I tried them on my regular size and it was a perfect fit.

When I ordered a pair, they were running big, so I had to size down one full size. They did not carry half size when I ordered, otherwise I would have done an 8.5. I took the 8 and they’re were snug for a while but have now molded to my feet and I can wear them with thing socks.

I think because the shoe is very “mold-able” and soft, going with your regular size should work. Possibly 1/2 down.

They are very responsive, so I recommend reaching out to them and they can also provide a suggestion. They also do free exchanges if something is too big or too small.

Did (what felt like) a big thing and bought some Gucci Jordan loafers from the local consignment shop last week. Something about finding them in person, them fitting perfectly, and needing some retail therapy - the combination got me. But I will never regret it! Good loafers are forever, I truly believe that. And I love how lately we've seen them in more casual iterations, which makes me realize I can wear mine 24/7 :)

What a great find, friend!! When i bought a pair of designer (cringe) loafers I was nervous but they, also, are a favorite in my closet.

My ultimate loafer is the midinette from Belgian Shoes—handmade to order in any color or pattern you can imagine. It’s an incredible (and incredibly comfortable!) shoe.

I would love to write a One Star Review of them because they are *so* good and literally made to fit your foot--plus they are $675 which is a STEAL for such quality.

Never seen these before but they look SO good! And such a cool vintage effect which make styling all that much easier, I can imagine. That's my problem with my GH Bass loafers, they just look too pristine? (And they're slightly tight so when spring comes along I really have to bite the bullet and just wear them). Loved this review!

I'm so glad this was helpful!! I really feel like patina on a loafer makes them that much better but I hate that I have to be the one that does the breaking in😂

Yes!! Fellow loafer lover over here 🙋‍♀️ they’re easily the best investment shoe. There’s something really lovely about maintaining the leather as well that I think you just don’t get with e.g. sneakers

P.s. can highly recommend Brit brand Russell & Bromley for high quality loafer options (and leather goods in general)

I love Jennie’s point about how the white loafers lighten the look of an otherwise “heavier” outfit. I’ve been craving a pair of white loafers as well this season and I wasn’t sure why, but I think she nailed it. (Also, Kelly, are you going to share the pair you bought??) Great post. Loafers are the best.

I bought these Chanel ones (sometimes I feel like a fraud wearing such a high end brand!) but they are incredible looking. https://www.therealreal.com/products/women/shoes/flats/chanel-patent-leather-loafers-ks6mo
