Previously my wardrobe leaned heavy in feminine; lots of ruffles and lace. I blame that previous self for my adoration of pointelle. There is something sweet and feminine about a pointelle and yet it doesn’t overpower an outfit like something with a puffed sleeve.
I own the Leset pointelle cardigan in white, the pointelle tee in white and black and the pointelle tank in white so it’s safe to say I’m a fan and the main reason is that the fabric is very soft and also wears really well.
I actually bought my first Leset pointelle tee off TheRealReal and took a risk buying a USED white t-shirt. The risk paid off because the fabric of the shirts hold their shape really well but the 100% cotton make them really soft.
I also like that they aren’t revealing too much in the pointelle. I’m wearing a black bra in the above photo and I can hardly pick out the outline of it.
The neck and arm detailing are really lovely without making it look too “sweet.”

I’ve compared it to other pointelles and Leset’s is the softest of the tees so I reach for it more often. It’s not too tight, very forgiving for a bloated day on my period or after eating too much pizza. I can’t say the same for the Doen pointelle shirt. It’s much tighter and less soft despite being 100% cotton as well.
AND it never wrinkles for me either. I pulled both of these shirts off my shelf where they have been for the same amount of time and the Doen would need an ironing where the Leset would not.
Leset offers pointelle in tanks, tees, long-sleeve shirts, short- and long-sleeve cardigan variations. I mostly see them selling in white and black but a friend scooped up a gorgeous chocolate brown off Poshmark recently.
You can also find LOADS of pre-loved options by simply searching “pointelle tee” on Poshmark BUT I do think Leset takes the cake for quality.
Enjoy a round-up of other options if you must both below and here.

If you own other pointelle tops and can provide more comparison, comment below. I would also love a detailed review of the Leset Margo tee that people rave about. So, please, please, please, consider contributing a review. I want to hear what your hero product is, especially if you’ve tried lots of iterations.
I have the white long sleeve and LOVE but I also really love my Donni navy, short-sleeve pointelle. It's got a more stretchy baby-T feeling than the Leset, so different vibes, but still super nice quality and fits really well!
I love the Cou Cou pointelle tee! ^ Agree that it’s dainty, but that’s also kinda what I want out of a pointelle tee. Just bought my 2nd one from the SSENSE sale.
I also got the Leset Margot in the same SSENSE order, and I’m returning it. I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t love it 🫣. It was a little too flimsy and paper-y for me, but I do like my white shirts a little thicker (like the Uniqlo crew neck, COS clean cut, etc.)
